A couple weeks a go a good friend came to stay for a week. Her guide dog and neema were really good together. Her dog is ten so things were pretty calm with the dogs. We went out for a couple dinners took some nice walks and made a good Mexican dinner for some friends.

Last Sunday was French’s birthday. So, we went to her house for a birthday party. Neema bought French a bone and some kong treats. The people had dinner and cake and icecream.

We went and bought subway subs and met a friend for lunch today. It was nice to catch up with her. She might be moving to Alaska and we will really miss her and her family.

Guess I have pretty much caught up.

Oh, Friday night we went with some friends for a really good home cooked fish dinner. Fish is not my favorite but this was really good.

I met some very wild Minnie pincers.

Thursday was a rainy day and so I got stuff done at home. Had two walks planned but they did not happen. Frieday went for a walk with my riend CinayI don't see her much so it was nice to get together. then we met some other friends for coffee. Today, laid out in the sun and took a walk in the woods. It was humid but pretty nice. A good friend of mine is coming to stay next week. She has a guide dog who is going to be ten same as French will be. But she hasn't met Neema yet. We are going out to dinner with a couple other women friends of mine and having some people over for dinner. Haven't made any other plas yet.

The Ohio trip went pretty well. It is a long drive so we listened to book 6 of Harry Potter. Got to go to the Smuckers main store and there was lots of things there. Also, got to go to the zoo which I really enjoyed a lot. Not too much is happening this week. Went to coffee with fitness center friends and I also worked with Neema on a new walk which she did really well with. On the fourth we are having a few people over for a bbqshould be fun. I made a rice salad and we are going to grill chicken.

I am going to Ohio for a week it is a very long drive. Got in a couple nice walks this week. Walked to meet friends for coffee. Some fitness center women and I went out lunchwhich was really fun. So today it will be just packing. I never know what to bring so I just start throwing things in to the suitcase and hope for the best.

Friday was a busy day for Neema and me. First, we went out to breakfast with my friend Cindy and another friend Barb. After that we did a little shopping at this fun grocery store. Then, we decided to check out a new hiking trail which was pretty chalening. It was also getting hot. But, I am glad we checked it out. After that we split up and cindy and I had to go to a birthday lunch. Our neighborhood had a campfire that night and we got to meet some of the newer neighbors. Our houses are not real close together which is nice but you don't meet the neighbors. We got together with friends on Saturday for a barbecue. Got to check out a new coffee shop which was fun.
We made a roast on Father's day just for me and my husband and it came out really good.
Neema was hoping for some but it didn't happen.

The past few days have been pretty busy for us. We went out to dinner a couple times with friends. Friday I went to the fitness center and went on the treadmill then went for coffee. We had workers around the house because we got air conditioning put in. It will be nice this summer.
Today, I am going for a walk with a friend and then we are going to make jam. She has a lot of strawberries to use up. So, I will help a little. But it will be fun since this friend is out of town a few days each week so we can catch up since she is staing in town this week.

I had a nice dayyesterday. took a four mile walk with neema. She did really well too. There are no sidewalks on this route. I am so glad I have my trekker. Then, in the afternoon I convinced my husband to go and see Sex in the City with me. It was really good. I usually wait for it come out on dvd but did not want too this time. Tommorow night we will meet some friends for dinner. In the morning my fitness center coffee group will go for coffee to celebrate my friend's beeing able to come to the fitness center for her therapy. Guess that is it for now.

I have a clean house. Just vacuumed and washed the kitchen floor. It is raining out so is a good day to clean. We have company coming on Saturday so got rid of some dog hair.
We got an upright vacum and it is good on rugs but harder to use to get under things. It has attachments but they are kind of a pain. So, I think I will use the canister for the kitchen and other floors.
Guess I will take a coffee break now.

I had fun this morning. Took a walk through the woods and then on some roads to get coffee. Neema did a grate job. Coffee was really good. I also picked up a small bag of coffee for my friend's birthday which is today. We will go over there this afternoon. I just baked some brownies.
yesterday we got together for lunch with some people I used to work with. There were 8 of us. We all brought our own sandwiches.
So, that is what is happening around here.

Just a few things. This weekend I went to visit my friend at home. She was in the hospital. So, it was nice to visit with her. I will be glad when she can get out and do things again. Monday we took a nice long walk. Today I went to my rowing class then to town for a work out with Neema and my reward was coffee.
I resisted buying a scone but i kept thinking aboutit.
Not much else happening around here.

I have been getting my exercise the past few days. Had a very hard spin class yesterday and have done two four mile walks. Neema got some town work in yesterday after my class. I like to go for coffee after my spin class.

Okay I will try to post one more time. I haven’t had any success posting my last entry.

But, I have been traveling a lot and am now finaly home for a while.

I went on a ski vacation to Norway. It was cross country skiing and was really nice. Nice weather and I am sure I got lots of sun on me.

We also spent a couple days in Iceland which was very interesting. Did lots of walking. I did not pick the best boots to wear for this unfortunately. Would have bought new shoes but could not find what I wanted that would be worth the expense. Very expensive in Norway and Iceland too.

We had lots of chocolate and the cheese was really good too.

Then, e took a quick trip to Ohio to see my husband’s mother and now I am home.

Neema and I got in a nice long walk today and it felt really good. No more ice. Yay.

Neema and I have been really busy. We went on a three week road trip to Oregon and California. Lots of fun but a lot of drivingtoo. Today it is six degrees. I went in to town with Neema to go to the post office. I put her boots on and she did really well.
I am going to work at our ski chalet today. Don't know how busy we will be since it is so cold. A friend and I work there on Fridays. We sell passes and food like pizas and candy.
I am going to a friend's wedding tommorow. Guess that is it for us for now.

It has been a really long time since I HAVE POSTED.
Time is flying by. I have been really busy with holiday things and my volunteer jobs. I am the applications coordinator for Ski for Light which is fun but a lot of work. Then, a couple times a week in the winter I work at our ski club chalet. Neema hasn't gotten in as many walks as i would like because it has been icy and weird out.
I just replaced my yac tracks and I like these new ones because they have a strap to keep them on your shoes. So, will have to try them out.
In aq couple weeks we are taking a winter road trip to Oregon for Si for Light. Should be very cold but fun too.
I like exploring new places.

I went to my rowing class today which was fun and a good work out too. Then for coffee and a short walk with Neema. I am starting to pack for my trip to Oregon. I leave on Thursday.So, have a lot to do. Tommorow I get my hair trimmed it has been a while for that.I have a meeting to go to in Bend and then a sisters get together in Portland. Looking forward to it.

The past few days have been rainy. Very rainy. I am sick of the rain.
So, yesterday I made applesauce. It came out pretty good I think.
I did get to the fitness center for rowing and went for coffee with just me and neema. We did some errands in town too. One of the people in my class gave me a ride in to town which was nice. One less bus.
Went on the treadmill and then for coffee with friends. My friends are back from Chicago which is nice.
No big plans for the weekend. I do hope it will be nice enough to go for a long walk with neema. We both need it.

I like Thursdays. Surviver and ER are on yay. I went to a ski club meeting last night. Very long and kind of boring. It has been rainy but I have managed to get out for a couple walks, lunch and today I went for coffee and did some errands. I was feeling lazy so got subway for lunch and brought it home.
Okay, now I have to think about what to make for dinner.

The past few days have been fun. Thursday French, neema and I and Steff went for a hike in the woods. Thn Steff, Neema and I met some friends for lunch. I found out that one my friend's at lunch is an All My Children fan. Yay.
Friday, we went on a picnic to Lake Superior. It was a little cold but a lot of fun.
Had friends over for dinner on Sunday. We had Buritoes with homemade refried beans.
Today, was the fitness center and rowing class. Yesterday was a town day bank, post office and some clicker work on findig elevators.

This weekend was really nice. Saturday I took a nice long walk with a friend and Neema too. Saturday night we rented a movie and had pizza. Sunday my husband and I and Neema took a nice long hike. Then, we met some friends for dinner. I hadn't been to this restaurant ina long time and it wasn't as good as I had remembered. I had duck but thought it was just okay. Monday Neema and I took a long walk on our own before it got too hot. Today we are off to the fitness center and of course coffee afterwards.

to day is a rainy windy day. Yesterday I went to lunch with a friend who I used to work with. She has four children now. All of them dame with us. All were really good.
Neema got out of her harness I have been wondering when this would happen. We came home and went for a walk. Went pretty good accept for one confusing spot. I hate country work sometimes. Hope to go out for dinner this weekend and also a nice long walk too.

Friday night we went out to dinner with another guide dog user and got to talk about our different schools. It was very interesting. Saturday night was a bbq and my retired dog French was there and it was nice to see her and hug her too.
Sunday we went to a friend's house where we haven't been for a while. He is ill but had made a really delicious vegetable soup. It was really nice to see them again and everyone of course was excited to meet Neema.
Saturday Neema and I took a nice long walk and it went really well. We have already been for a walk and coffee today. Guess this is all for now.

Let 's hope this works. I sometimes have trouble posting. Yesterday was nice and I and neea got in a couple good walks. I think today we will go to town and do some errands and go for lunch. This weekend we are meeting another guide dog user from around here for dinner. We both have new dogs from different schools. So, it will be fun to talk dogs and schools.
I don't see this person much because we don't live that close to each other and she has a lot of family and other things like a daughter to keep her busy.
Saturday night we are going to a bbq which will be fun.

It has been a long time since I hav e posted. But, I am waiting for bread to finish baking and cooking some rice. Am going to make zuccini parmesan. My new dog Neema is doing really well. I like her a lot. Her work is really good too. We have been really busy learning new things about each other. My retired dog French was here for a week and that was a lot of fun for me. But, I really iss her a lot.
I saw a nice movie last night. Miss Potter.
Bought a cd of Sting today and really like it.
Off to finish cooking.

I got my new lap top and am pretty excited about it. I will take it to guide dogs with me and hope the wireless connections work. Another thing I will do is load a program called erg chat. This is used with a rowing machine and it is really fun because it tells you how many meters you have rowed, how long you have rowed etc. So tommorow my rowing instructor will help me load it.
Not much else just gathering things to take with me.

It is going to be very hot the next couple days so probably won't do much. I am happy I finally got my audio HP.I am disappointed it took amazon so long to get them to us. Last weekend's wedding was very nice. It was outside. French was a really good girl. We had fun exploring the area and it is knowwn for cherries which we had lots of. So good.
Going to the fitness center today for the treadmill, went spinning yesterday since it is too hot for walks. Today will of course go for coffee after the treadmill and a little shopping too.
That is about it for around here.
